Cox Wings Corsair F4U

This is my Corsair F4U built from Cox Wings ARF kit

Setup with Feigao 1208436 4100kv 12mm brushless motor mounted in a Fox XL motor mount. Controlled by Tower Pro (BP) 10A ESC.

GWS 4ch RX with two 3.6 Gram Blue Arrow servos

and a GWS 3030 prop.

All powered with either a 2S or 3S (in video) 350mAh TrueRC 10C pack.

Both 2S and 3S are fun to fly on this little war bird.

Lou’s 25% 3D Katana

Lou of the RC Barnstormers was finally fed up with his Super Tigre engine after a couple of dead stick landings and a crash.

TrueRC set him up with brand new 5340-7 250RPM/V Brushless Outrunner

And a pair or 15C 5S3P 6600mAh packs to run as 10S3P.

 

With a 18x10 Zinger this combination delivered 2800W of power, enough to give Lou over 1.64:1 power to weight ratio needed to enjoy his Pacific Models 25% 3D Katana once again.

 

Total weigh of the model is 17lb. This includes the battery packs and motor + extensive frame repair.
